Visiting the Natural Rock Formation, popularly known as Howrah Bridge, is a surreal experience. This naturally-formed archway is made up of dead coral remains left behind after the devastating 2004 tsunami. Because many Bengali settlers once resided on the island, the formation was initially nicknamed “Rabindra Setu,” but later came to be known as Howrah Bridge.

This natural wonder is located beside the coral-rich stretch of Laxmanpur Beach. It’s accessible only during low tide, as the route becomes submerged during high tide. Tour guides typically schedule visits just before sunset, making for a scenic and safe trek.
You’ll walk roughly 100 meters from the entry point, along a rocky trail dotted with dead coral. Be cautious—this path can be slippery. Good footwear is highly recommended.
